Axel on stage in Kent autumn 2016

Axel Jansson is a Swedish singer and songwriter based in London. He was first drawn to music when he started to explore his father’s record collection as a kid, absorbing and soaking up the sounds of the 60’s and 70’s that would influence the gritty, husky, heartfelt tone that you’ll find in his own work. Axel’s songwriting is honest, infusing lush melodies with alternative rock and a big dose of bold pop.

His debut single ‘Shine’ was premiered by The Sun in April 2016 with a live appearance at London’s Century Club, leading to features in The Metro, OK! Magazine, The Mirror and The Huffington Post and interviews on London Live TV and ITV’s pop show ‘Scrambled’. Axel has performed at MIDEM, on the Coffee House Sessions tour, Busk The Box, I Luv Live and the LBC Summer Festival in June 2016.

The 2nd single 'Two Of A Kind' was released in July 2016 alongside a regional radio tour in England, Scotland and Wales. The single gained Record Of The Week on Tim Cocker's Virgin Radio show.
